Sensory Activity: Frozen Ocean Animal Rescue! Summer has arrived and what better way to cool off than playing with ice! As part of our character development curriculum, our playgroup students became Acorns of Kindness and Gentleness when they rescued ocean animals from ice this month. They rubbed the ice with salt and squirted bottles of warm water on the blocks of ice. They even used hammers to quicken the process! To make things more fun, we used a little paint to color the water for effect. If you try this at home, don't use food coloring as it will stain your hands!
